The Domi Method™ — Step 06

Why Sun Protection Matters

Sun protection isn’t just a seasonal choice—it is the final, essential pillar of a healthy skin routine. Here is why we consider Protect a non-negotiable building block.

1. Beyond Sunburns: UVA & UVB Explained

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation reaches our skin daily, even through clouds and office windows. UVB rays are primarily responsible for surface sunburns, while UVA rays penetrate deeper into the dermis, breaking down collagen and accelerating premature skin aging, fine lines, and dark spots. Broad-spectrum sunscreens shield against both.

2. Protecting Your Targeted Treatments

If you are investing time and care into treating breakouts, fading dark spots, or smoothing your skin’s texture (Steps 03 and 04), skipping SPF can undo your progress. UV exposure stimulates melanin production, instantly reigniting hyperpigmentation and making post-blemish marks darker and longer-lasting.

3. How to Fit SPF Into Your Routine

Sunscreen always belongs as the absolute final step of your morning routine—applied after your moisturizer (Seal) and before makeup. Allow your skincare layers a minute or two to absorb before smoothing on a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher.
